World Tourism Day Celebration in DAV College for Girls Yamuna Nagar

Every year as on 27^th September United Nations World Tourism Organisation Celebrate World Tourism, The theme of World Tourism Day 2015 is “one million tourist one million opportunities”. DAV College for Girls Yamuna Nagar is organizing one day Competition and Extension Lecture  as on 28^th September on the theme “one million tourist one million opportunities”’ where resource persons from industry and academia shall be delivering their views on the theme of food Tourism. Being Tourism Interdisciplinary in nature, the competition is open for all. Interested candidates can register themselves at registration counter at DAV on 27^th September at 09.00 AM.   Principal of DAV Prof. Sushma Arya shall preside over the function The other Industry personnel include Sunil Thakur, Chef Sunil Kumar, Mr Aman Kumar etc. Professor Sushma Arya inaugurated the fest by lighting a lamp along with the other faculty members of the College. In his inaugural speech he threw light on the growth Tourism Industry in India as well as at the global level.  He appreciated the students who organized and participated in the event. Chef Sunil Kumar elaborated on the Significance of world Tourism Day and Theme for year 2015 he also explained about the theme of the poster making and slogan writing which college is organizing as on 28^th September. On the eve various competitions like cooking and baking Competition were organized in which 24 Teams from various department is participated.  

            At the closing of the functions winners were awarded prizes. Principal of the College, Prof Sushma Arya congratulated the winners of the different competition.  .  Faculty members Ms. Garima Malik, Mr. Aman Kumar, Chef Sunil Kumar and others were present in the event.
